Sail Span Reviews

Low upfront cost if the store is on Shopify’s built-in myshopify address, since no separate custom domain purchase is required.

Fast setup because Shopify provides the subdomain automatically for launching and testing a store.

Built-in security through Shopify’s platform protections and SSL coverage.

Works well for development/testing and temporary store previews before going public with a custom domain.

Always available as the store’s technical address while the Shopify account remains active.

Less professional-looking than a custom domain, which can reduce trust.

Weaker branding because the Shopify name stays visible in the URL.

Can hurt SEO and visibility compared with a custom domain.

May look suspicious to shoppers because scam stores also use myshopify domains.

Harder to remember and type than a branded domain.

Not ideal for long-term public use for an established store.
